Hello there,
Greetings and How are you? It is time for the next posting. I want to share a very interesting story regarding NLP. It seems there was this school going son who one day went to his father and asked ,
" Hey dad... you are a NLP trainer... right? "
"Yes..." said the father.
"Then tell me..." asked the son, " What is NLP " ?
The father thought for some time and then said,
" Go and talk to your Grand father now... find out how he is feeling...?"
The son went to the Grand father ( let us have these individuals as son, father and grand father itself - to avoid complexities ) and talked to him for a few minutes and came back to his father.
"Father... Grand pa is in a very depressed condition... He is thinking about his arthritis.. it seems it is very painful... he is also sad, thinking that he has become a burden for all of us..."
" Ok..." said the father..." You go to him again and ask him if he can remember your childhood pranks..."
The son went to the Grand father and said,
"Grand pa... do you remember any of my child hood mischiefs?"
The Grand father though for a few moments... a smile opened up in his wrinkled face...
" How can I forget those...." he exclaimed.... " You were a great prankster... in fact greater than your father... and hell a lot of mischiefs you did.... I remember the time when you were a toddler... you upset a whole pot of Curd... the entire kitchen floor was filled with curd... and people came in and were falling... every one drenched in curd... it took a whole week for the stench to dissipate..." the grand father was grinning now...
" and the other time..." he continued enthusiatically, " You locked your father in the bathroom and when he started shouting ( he had a workshop ) you said that there was a ginnie in the bathroom and you had successfully locked it... I still remember the face of your father as we got him out.... oh...oh...oh... and you shouting ' don't release the ginnie...' oh...oh...oh... i simply loved it..." The Grandfather was really excited now and was actually standing up, laughing uncontrollably holding his hips and shaking from head to foot...
As the son returned to the father, the father asked, " Well... how does your grand pa feel now..."
" he is in spilits... I think i must have been a really great prankster..."
" what about his arthritis..."
" that seems to be the last thing in his mind... in fact look at him... he seems to be laughing and JUMPING...."
" Do you understand now son...?" asked the father...
"Understand what? " asked the son...
" What you did now was NLP..."
" oh..oh... now i understand..."
" Good "
" and dad... did you know that once a genie got caught in our bathroom.... oh...oh... dad.... dont look at me like that.... I was practicing NLP on You...."

How I fell in love with NLP...

I actually don't remember the day, the first time I came across the word NLP. But I think it was a blessed day. That word NLP and the way I understood it, has had a profound impact on me. My world went for a rapid change and I felt as though I had more control over it.
There was a reason for my greater sense of control. It is because I powerfully understood that my world was not actually out there. It was between my ears... It was inside my head to be more specific... and I found out that I had more control over what is within my head. NLP gave me powerful techniques to create changed in the world in me. and to my amazement when I was able to make changes in the world within my head, I found out that the world around me, responded in synch.
I was really amazed... and as I read more and more about NLP and attended it's practitioner's level course, I got a greater grip on NLP and I fell in love with NLP.
I have more to share regarding this LOVE... and more to share regarding how I understand NLP itself... and I want to share it with you friends through the web world... May be we can create a reservoir of Knowledge about NLP...
And whom so ever wants to have a drink can do so...
